MSNBC.com - May 28 Stuck Behind Bars: Kasey G. Kazee, the 25-year old man who tried to rob a liquor store with duct tape concealing his face, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The “duct tape bandit” was tackled by a store employee before he could make his getaway. The tape, which covered all but his eyes and mouth, came off easily as Kazee had perspired. Kazee has since become a topic of mockery on YouTube.

WALB News 10 - May 20 Graduating is hottest in the ATL: Students from metro Atlanta colleges are enrolling and graduating quicker than major metropolitan colleges around the country, says a report by the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education. Atlanta is ranked first in the nation for enrollment growth, ranked over such educational centers as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. It’s ranked second in the number of bachelor’s and advanced degrees issued during the 17-year period of study.
The Philadelphia Inquirer - May 20 No Men Allowed: Rosemont College, a Catholic college for women, is receiving pressures to enroll men. The college, which is the last remaining all-women’s school in Philadelphia, may need to become co-ed because of their “perilous” financial situation. If the college committee approves, Rosemont estimates it costing over $4.5 million to prepare for male students, who may enlist as soon as fall of 2009.
