Over 300,000 people doing jumping jacks on the White House lawn breaks a record.
Michelle Obama announced in an email on December 12 that her idea to break the world record of the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24- hour period was successful.
On October 11 of this year, the first lady gathered local children onto the South Lawn of the White House to beat the Guinness World Record.
300,265 people participated.
The event is a part of her “Let’s Move!” campaign to promote children getting proper exercise.
