George Takei calls upon sci-fi fans to combat their common enemy
George Takei is calling on all sci-fi and fantasy fans to band against a common enemy: The “Twilight” saga.
After videos of William Shatner and Carrie Fisher went viral with the former deriding “Star Wars” and the latter taking digs at “Star Trek,” Takei has come forward to promote a little peace among star friends with his own video.
“Shut your big wormholes!” Takei commands Shatner and Fisher, adding, “Each [series] is wonderful in its own special way.”
Takei continues that what is needed in these trying times is “star peace” because an “ominous, mutual threat” is on the rise — “Twilight.” Takei takes jabs at the “vampires that sparkle,” explaining that the series is just “really, really bad.”
“There are no great stories, characters or profound life lessons to be had in ‘Twilight.,’” Takei says in the hilarious video.
