Flip Saunders has been fired by the Washington Wizards
Flip Saunders has been let go by the Washington Wizards.
NBC Sports reports that Saunders has been fired after the Wizards began the 2011-12 season 2-15. As the site details, the Wizards players started without discipline, consistent effort or signs of improvement.
Saunders is expected to be replaced in the interim by current Wizards assistant Randy Wittman.
Although many agree Saunders has been a good coach for veteran teams, he had difficulty reaching the young players on the Wizards.
