After a colleague wanted to solve a 6-year-old bully problem
The teacher of an alleged 6-year-old bully also became a bully when she found out from another teacher that the 6-year-old, Aiden, was causing trouble at school.
Two unnamed teachers at the Judson Independent School District near San Antonio were involved in the incident. The first teacher confided in another, more experienced colleague who decided how the 6-year-old bully would be disciplined. The second teacher ordered her 24 students to line up in front of the child and throw hits at him.
The teacher demanded the students to “Hit him harder!” Each of the 24 students hit the 6-year-old bully, although some did not want to. They hit him anyway to follow the intimidating teacher’s orders.
“He was hit on the head, in the face, on the back. And all the kids hit him twice,” said Neely. “He had friends in that class, and friends didn’t want to hit him, but the teacher instructed them to hit him.”
School administration placed the first teacher on paid leave and she will return to the school in the fall semester, but was scolded for waiting to report the incident she witnessed. The San Antonio elementary school terminated the second teacher from her teaching position. Police are charging both teachers for official oppression, according to Kare 11.
Regarding the second teacher, the 6-year-old bully’s mother, Amy Neely, said, “I just want to make sure that she isn’t able to teach again,” adding, “She doesn’t need to be around any children.”
