After lifting the 14-year ban on video game consoles in January, China will now have access to the Xbox One through China Telecom.
Microsoft announced back in April that they had plans to sell the Xbox One to Chinese gamers this September, and it looks as though that plan is moving along smoothly as Microsoft partners up with the third largest telecom company in China, China Telecom.
This morning, the company announced that 30 million consumers can sign up for an exclusive contract with China Telecom in order to purchase and play on an Xbox One, according to Reuters. The price point is still unknown.
However, it will also be available to the general public via retail–my thoughts are that the price point will probably hike up if Chinese consumers attempt to purchase without a Telecom contract.
