Steampunk meets Cirque du Soleil in their new production
Editorial Staff
KURIOS: Cabinet of Curiosities opens August 6 in Chicago
After a 4-year hiatus, Cirque du Soleil will be returning to the Windy City with their 35th production. The preternatural theme for this year is “KURIOS-Cabinet of Curiosities™”, which will act as a stem-punk inspired period piece reflecting the late nineteenth century. Audience will get a peek inside the Seeker’s Cabinet of Curiosities where there lies a realm that promises to keep everyone enthralled throughout the whole show. The show begins before the curtains even open with performers set to climb the big top and perform for crowds as they come into the tent.
KURIOS™ was written and directed by frequent Madonna collaborator, Michel Laprise who directed the entirety of Madonna’s MDNA tour
“KURIOS-Cabinet of Curiosities™” will transform the United Center parking lot into a massive yellow big top. This production will open August 6 and go through September 20, for a nearly 2-month long run. Tickets for KURIOS™ can be purchased HERE.
