Arkansas football player, Garrett Uekman, dies
Arkansas football player Garrett Uekman has died.
AP reports that the Arkansas football player has died at the age of 19. The University of Arkansas said that Uekman was found unconcious and unresponsive in his dorm room on Sunday at 11:15 a.m. The cause of death wasn’t immediately known.
“Garrett Uekman was a special member of our family, and we are all saddened by his passing,” Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino said in a statement. “His loss is a terrible shock, and it makes you realize how precious life is.”
Reportedly, Arkansas football players showed “shock and dismay” upon hearing about Uekman’s death.
