Steve Urkel dancing? We can’t miss that.
“Dancing with the Stars” is back for its 14th season with a cast that includes a music legend, TV icons and a Super Bowl champion.
While “Dancing with the Stars” often takes a lot of heat for lacking in actual star power, fans of the popular show can expect to watch another interesting mix of pop icons get footloose with the professional dancers.
In past years, ABC has used the “Dancing with the Stars” cast reveal to boost ratings for “The Bachelor.” Today, the season 14 “Dancing with the Stars” cast was revealed on “Good Morning, America”, and the match-up of celebrities to professional dancers was announced immediately as opposed to waiting a few days.
Without further delay, the 2012 “Dancing with the Stars” cast includes:
-Donald Driver, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver and Super Bowl champion.
-William Levy, a Cuban-American actor and model.
-Katherine Jenkins, an opera star who performed on the stage of “Dancing with the Stars” twelve seasons ago.
-Gavin Degraw, pop singer-songwriter.
-Gladys Knight, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and eight-time Grammy winner.
-Sherri Shepherd, actress and co-host of “The View”.
-Martina Navratilova, tennis legend.
-Roshon Fegan, the youngest contestant at age 20, and cast member of Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up”.
-Maria Menounos, host of “Extra”.
-Jaleel White, who is best known for his role as Steve Urkel on the 1990s hit show “Family Matters”.
-Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls on “Little House on the Prairie” from 1974 to 1983.
-Jack Wagner, who is known for his roles on “Melrose Place” and “General Hospital”, and most recently known as Heather Locklear’s ex-fiancé.
“Dancing with the Stars” cast rumors have been tossed around on the internet for months, and fans can finally rest easy knowing which celebrities they can expect to see dancing with the seasoned professionals.
Rumored celebrities who didn’t make the cut include Paula Deen, Paul Reubens, known for his role as Pee-wee Herman, Regis Philbin and Suzanne Somers.
