Demi Moore hospitalized for substance abuse, drops out of “Lovelace”
Demi Moore has been hospitalized for substance abuse.
TMZ reports that a call to 911 was placed at 10:45 Monday night from Moore’s house in L.A. Paramedics arrived and assessed Moore’s condition for 30 minutes before transporting her to the hospital.
Sources close to Moore said that she will be placed in a facility to “seek further professional assistance” for substance abuse.
Moore’s rep told TMZ, “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
Because of this recent development, Moore has decided to drop out of the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic. As we reported earlier this month, Moore was slated to make a cameo appearance as Gloria Steinem.
