Drake surprised fans Saturday night when he took to Twitter, advising them to visit his official website.
Less than an hour later the nemis delivered by posting three new tracks, each of which were accompanied by the cover art for his highly anticipated rumored album, Views From the 6.
The tracks included “6 God,” “How Bout Now,” and “Heat of the Moment.”
Drake informed fans that the songs were not an EP, but rather songs hackers obtained and planned to leak, so instead he surprised fans early.
“That wasn’t an EP. Just 3 songs that I knew some hackers had. But enjoy! Back to this album,” he tweeted.
It’s safe to say that he did so as a precaution to two of the three tracks being leaked before planned releases considering “How Bout Now” leaked on Oct. 19 after being posted to a Georgia teenager’s SoundCloud account.
The three tracks showcase Drake’s versatility, with “6 God” a bragging rights anthem that attacks his critics, “Heat of the Moment,” a song about his admiration for a new chick and “How Bout Now,” a song that traps him between the two spaces.
Fans can listen and download the new tracks from his SoundCloud.
