Eric Stonestreet laughs off rumors that the pair are dating
According to the Daily Mail, “things are blossoming” between the Modern Family star, Eric Stonestreet, and Oscar winning actress, Charlize Theron. Stonestreet had recently been linked to the Snow White and the Huntsman actress, who he met through a mutual friend earlier this year.
Stonestreet joked about the rumors saying “I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating. It’s starting to make Halle Berry jealous.” He went on to say “She was so cold to me this morning, just knife and fork on the plate. I was like, Halle, it’s just a rumor.”
Eric Stonestreet previously dated Katherine Torkaz but ended the relationship earlier this summer. Accompanying him at the Emmys was his friend, Paul. According to Stonestreet, “I brought my best friend, Paul, who looks nothing at all like Charlize Theron.”
Although the actor may not be taking Charlize home anytime soon, Stonestreet did take home some hardware at the Emmys. He won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor for ABC’s hilarious comedy Modern Family.
Stonestreet is curious about where these rumors of the pair dating first began. He continued to joke about the matter saying “For all of you watching at home in America, this is the definition of our town. That I am rumored to be dating Charlize Theron.”
