Heavy D cause of death is pending an autopsy
Rapper Heavy D has died at the age of 44.
The New York Daily News reports that Heavy D collapsed in his Beverly Hills condo on Tuesday. He was conscious and talking when he called 911. He was taken to Cedars Sinai Hospital at 11:25 a.m. and died 90 minutes later.
Heavy D was reportedly having trouble breathing as he was being transported to the hospital. He was also battling pneumonia after returning from Europe. The last tweet Heavy D posted to his Twitter account read, “BE INSPIRED.”
The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
