Kenny Chesney announces his 2013 concert tour opening acts
Kenny Chesney has revealed the name of his 2013 concert tour: No Shoes Nation. This tour will hit almost 50 cities, including 17 stadium shows. No Shoes Nation is also what the country superstar is planning on referring to his fan base as from now on.
On No Shoes Radio, Chesney explained, “We’ve been looking for ways to give my fan base a name. Everybody has built No Shoes Nation. What we’ve created on the road is something so special—the fans, myself, the band, crew…Their love for the music is constant; they are so passionate about the music.”
Chesney also revealed some of the other country superstars that will be opening for him on his 2013 concert tour. Eric Church, Eli Young Band, Kasey Musgraves and Zac Brown Band will all be in attendance.
Eric Church commented on Chesney’s upcoming tour saying, “I think he’s a real artist. I met him with my trainer years ago in the gym. He had just gotten to town. To see his progression, to see the songwriter and artist he’s becoming, he totally deserves that spot on our stadium tour. He’s a great fit for what we do out there.”
As for Eli Young Band, it was their hit song Crazy Girl that got Chesney’s attention. Chesney admitted, “I didn’t know much about them, but their song Crazy Girl beat You and Tequila for Song of the Year…and I went, ‘Wait a minute!’ So I went and listened to their record and was really impressed.”
The No Shoes Nation tour marks 20 years of touring for the mega-popular country singer.
