Sorry to break the news ladies, but Matthew McConaughey is officially off limits. According to media reports, as of Saturday, June 9, McConaughey married Brazilian model, Camila Alves, in their home of Austin, TX. Up until the wedding, the couple kept the ceremony’s details as secret as possible.
However, on the big day, Alves proudly claimed her love for Matthew McConaughey in front of an intimate group of family and friends by taking his last name. Reflecting the roots and personalities of the newlyweds, the ceremony held a theme of ‘island meets Texas’ that included Brazilian food.
Wearing a Dolce & Gobbana tuxedo, “Matthew looked so handsome, like an Old Hollywood movie star,” a guest stated. Likewise, his stunning model/designer bride was dressed in a Brazilian designer’s custom made gown on her big day. “Camila was just glowing and beautiful,” shared a guest.
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves were the only two on the alter proclaiming their love, as it has been stated that the couple decided against having any groomsmen and/or bridesmaids. However, standing in front of them were two preachers: a pastor of a local church and a monk. The two switched off saying remarks throughout the ceremony.
The happy couple began dating in 2006 and were rumored to have been engaged last Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. McConaughey have two children together, 3-year-old son, Levi, and 2-year-old daughter, Vida.
Matthew McConaughey recently finished up with the making of the highly anticipated stripper-chick flick, “Magic Mike.” The film will be a sight for sore eyes as the Steven Soderberg directed drama stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer, alongside McConaughey. As a result of McConaughey having to promote the upcoming film, the newlywed’s honeymoon will unfortunately be cut short.
