Mikhail Prokhorov is Russia’s third richest man
Vladimir Putin may not be a shoo-in in next year’s presidential elections. The third richest man in Russia, Mikhail Prokhorov, is now launching his own presidential campaign and aims to win.
BBC reports that Prokhorov is a Russian tycoon. Prokhorov is a billionaire and the founder of the Onexim Group. Prokhorov’s fortune is estimated at $18 billion.
Prokhorov was awarded Russia’s Order of Friendship in 2006 and was briefly leader of the Right Cause party in 2011. Prokhorov is also the head of the labour market committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), where he has campaigned for reform of the labor code. Prokhorov’s concept of a voluntary 60-hour working week has been a controversial issue.
