Budding NBA star, Lance Stephenson signed with the Bobcats in the offseason and will be taking his dominate talent from Indiana to Charlotte.
To much surprise, he recently discovered a hidden talent along the way: rapping. Something many athletes try at one point or another, but don’t seem to do as well as they do on the court.
Better known as Born Ready on the court, Stephenson, the highest scorer in New York’s high school basketball history, decided to show off his skills in a whole new playing field and recently dropped a freestyle over Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot N—a.”
The track starts off, “Y’all tryin’ to make me the next highlight on SportsCenter, huh?,” and Stephenson proceeds to prove his adequate MC skills as the track progresses.
The Brooklyn native reps his hometown while freestyling, “I been going hard since like the fifth grade.”
With a crisp flow and interesting lyrics, Stephnson paid tribute to his Indiana days in which he raps, “Love Indiana, I’ma miss some good days.”
