Former “Real Housewives” star takes sides in argument
Dina Manzo hasn’t been on air with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” in more than a year, but the remaining cast members were all about her during the reunion show on Sunday, The Star-Ledger reports.
Cast member Caroline Manzo feels fellow housewife Teresa Giudice insulted her and her family in her new book, a cook book called Fabulicious. Caroline has been vocal about her anger with Teresa’s claim that Caroline copies everything she does.
Former housewife Dina Manzo is taking Giudice’s side in the feud, against her sister-in-law. In a recent blog post she said, “Was is necessary to write that stuff in her book? Probably not, but I don’t think it was written with malice either.”
She goes on to say that many jokes have been thrown around on the series and implies the other women are taking themselves too seriously, seemingly not aware of the fact that this is what happens to every reality cast member. “I don’t like fighting, I don’t like drama, I don’t like confrontation,” she claims.
Dina says that she loves her family and will one day be close with Caroline again, but refrains from any juicy details, reminding readers she is not on the show anymore and “doesn’t need” to continue to share her life with the public.
Manzo left the series during the second season after an ugly confrontation with Danielle Staub.
