Roseanne Barr has announced her aspirations to be the Green Party’s nominee
Roseanne Barr is looking to be the Green Party’s candidate.
Known for her role on her sitcom, “Roseanne,” which highlighted a blue collar-family, she wants to alert the news media that their real focus should be working-class families.
According to AP, Barr wrote on her candidate questionnaire, “I will barnstorm American living rooms. Mainstream media will be unable to ignore me, but more importantly they, will be unable to overlook the needs of average Americans in the run-up to the 2012 election.”
When asked about which wing she sided with, Barr said, “I am no wing. I am an American. I believe in people-ism. Solutions that work for everybody.”
No word if her aspirations to the White House will hinder her partnership with NBC for a new show titled, “Downwardly Mobile.”
The Green Party will select their nominee in July during their convention in Baltimore.
