Wake Tech on lockdown after reports of man with gun on campus
Wake Tech Community College is on lockdown after a man with a gun was reportedly spotted on campus.
Fox News reports that Wake Tech spokeswoman Laurie Clowers is working with sheriff’s deputies to determine the severity of the situation. Wake Tech students and faculty have been told to lock themselves in their classrooms and offices until they receive an all-clear signal.
Deputies are on the scene and have begun investigating. The report of the gunman came in shortly before 9 a.m.
Wake Tech has five campus locations and two academic centers, enrolling more than 63,000 students. It is located in North Carolina.
